We are seeking a passionate Industrial Designer Intern to join our creative and engineering team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in design thinking, product aesthetics, user-centered design, and 3D modeling. This role involves conceptualizing and developing product designs from idea to prototype, ensuring a balance of form, function, and manufacturability
Qualification
B.Des / B.E in Industrial Design / Product Design / Mechanical Engineering or related fields
Responsibilities Create and develop innovative product concepts based on user needs and business goals Translate ideas into 3D models and visual presentations Work with engineers to ensure feasibility and functionality of designs Participate in brainstorming sessions, design reviews, and prototype testing Assist in CMF (Color, Material, Finish) selection and documentation Collaborate on iterative prototyping and usability improvements
Prepare design documentation including mood boards, storyboards, and tech packs Support manufacturing and production planning with design-for-manufacturing inputs
Required Skills and Qualifications
Pursuing or completed a degree in Mechanical engineering, Industrial Design, Product Design, or related field Proficiency in 3D modeling and rendering tools (e.g., SolidWorks, KeyShot, Fusion 360) Understanding of user-centered design principles Basic knowledge of materials, ergonomics, and manufacturing processes Interest in prototyping, product styling, and physical model making Strong visualization, sketching, and storytelling abilities Good communication and collaboration skills Preferred Skills Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) Basic understanding of mechanical assemblies and design constraints. Familiarity with sustainable design principles Good presentation and reporting skills (Excel, PowerPoint).
Experience with physical prototyping tools (3D printing, foam modeling, etc.)
